Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi 10. Comparison

Hello, everyone! This we’re going to compare two Xiaomi smartphones – these are the Poco F2 Pro and the Mi 10. Which smartphone is better? I’m going to compare their appearances, screens, cameras, performance and other parameters to determine the winner. Also, I will leave links to various services in the description under this video, where you can independently compare the cost of these smartphones.

In the meantime, I’m going to start comparing the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 10. Make yourself comfortable, it will be interesting.

Despite the fact that smartphones are manufactured by the same company, they have almost nothing in common in their appearance. Perhaps the dimensions are almost identical, but the Poco F2 Pro is slightly larger and heavier. Its weight is 219 grams. This is quite a weighty device and you’ll have to hold it with both hands. The screen of the smartphone is simply huge. What is most interesting is that it does not have a cutout for the front camera, since it is hidden in the body and moves out on command. On the one hand, such a solution to the location of the camera is convenient – the cutout hidden in the screen will not distract from games and watching videos. On the other hand, lovers of taking selfies and unlocking a smartphone in the face will have to wait for the camera to appear. With regard to the location of the various work items on the body, the developers focused them on three sides. Below there is a microphone, speaker, USB Type-C connector and a SIM card slot. Above there is a retractable front camera, infrared port, microphone and headphone jack. And there are the volume and power buttons on the right side of the smartphone. As for the fingerprint scanner, the developers put it on the screen.

In the Xiaomi Mi 10, the arrangement of working elements on the case is almost the same as that of its rival. The only difference is that there is a speaker on the top of the smartphone instead of a retractable front camera. And also there is no headphone jack at all. It is quite upsetting that the smartphone has room for only one SIM card. The screen of the Xiaomi Mi 10 is frameless and the front camera is located right in it in a small round cutout. The cutout dimensions are small, so it does not cause any inconvenience when watching videos and playing games. Also, the smartphone screen has a fingerprint scanner.

The smartphones’ back panels differ much more. The Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro has a round photomodule with 4 cameras with a flash under them. Comparing this feature with the background of smartphones from other manufacturers that put vertical and rectangular modules, it looks quite original and makes the Poco F2 Pro stand out. As for the colors, the smartphone is available for purchase in white, black and hay-green options.

The Xiaomi Mi 10’s cameras are located in the upper left corner. 3 cameras out of 4 are combined into a vertical module, which protrudes quite strongly above the body. That is why the smartphone is unstable when it lies on the table. Therefore, I recommend you immediately purchase a cover for it if you decide to buy this smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi 10 has less color options than its rival: it is available in green or gray only.

The Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro received a 6.67-inch screen with a Super AMOLED matrix. It has excellent color rendering and wide viewing angles. There is the ability to adjust the screen to suit your preferences in the settings of the smartphone. Plus there is the Always-on-Display function, a dark theme, and a special reading mode.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 also has a 6.67-inch screen with a Super AMOLED matrix. This has many adjustment options, excellent color reproduction and wide viewing angles. But unlike its rival, it has a refresh rate of 90 Hertz for smoother animations, while the Poco F2 Pro has a refresh rate of 60 Hertz.

As a software platform, both smartphones use the 10th version of the Android operating system with a proprietary MIUI shell. This shell has a pleasant and easy-to-use interface that many users like. There is support for gestures and one-handed operation, a split screen function and a dark theme. And also, this allows you to customize the display of information in the Always On Display mode in detail, swap controls, and add virtual buttons. Also, it has dedicated modes of operation – for example, a game mode. True, this shell has lots of in-built advertising and many unnecessary applications. But it’s quite easy to disable ads and remove unnecessary apps.

The main camera of the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro has a 64-megapixel sensor. It has a fairly high aperture, so even in difficult conditions, the images with the main camera are very good quality. In addition, the night mode helps the smartphone in the dark. Among the other lenses in the smartphone, it is worth noting the 5-megapixel macro camera, which will allow you to achieve truly impressive close-up shots. Well, the front camera of the smartphone with a resolution of 20 megapixels also demonstrates excellent image quality even in difficult conditions. So selfie lovers can take beautiful photos with one click. When it comes to video shooting, the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro demonstrates impressive functionality: it has the ability to record video at 8K 24 or 30fps and is available in 4K at up to 60 frames and stabilization. In addition, there is a VLOG function, thanks to which you can make videos for social networks “on the go”. There is a beautifier mode and the ability to shoot videos with a blurred background. So the POCO F2 Pro will be a great companion for shooting video clips.

The Xiaomi Mi 10, like its opponent, has a 20-megapixel front camera that will allow you to take bright and clear selfies without post-processing. But unlike its rival, the Mi 10 has a 108-megapixel main camera, which will allow you to take ultra-high-resolution photos and shoot videos at 8K 30fps with stabilization. The photos taken with the main camera are of pretty good quality. There is a night mode for shooting in the dark, which is not inferior to flagships from more eminent manufacturers. The rest of the cameras in the smartphone are mostly just for show. Neither the ultra-wide-angle module, nor the depth sensor, nor the macro camera can boast of high image quality. Therefore, I can recommend the Mi 10 if you want to take pictures and videos in ultra-high resolution. Well, the POCO F2 Pro is more suitable for those who like shooting close-ups.

Both smartphones are equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor, made according to the 7-nanometer process, which is complemented by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and an Adreno 650 graphics processor. Such a powerful filling is enough not only for fast system operation, but also for any mobile games at maximum settings. Such game hits like PUBG, Asphalt 9 and Call of Duty work flawlessly. Both smartphones do not have the ability to install a memory card in them. But most likely you won’t even need it since the internal memory of the Poco F2 Pro and the Mi 10, depending on the version, can be 128 or 256 GB.

In terms of network, both smartphones have 5G support. So far, this is not relevant, but in the future it will be useful to have such an opportunity in a smartphone. Also both the Poco F2 Pro and Mi 10 support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC modules. Also, they have an infrared port.

The Xiaomi POCO F2 Pro received a 4700 mAh battery, which is enough for a whole day of active use without any particular problems. Even with heavy use of the smartphone, it is unlikely that you need to look for an outlet to charge the battery. And if this does happen, fast charging support will restore the battery to 100% in just an hour. Unfortunately, the smartphone does not support wireless charging.

The battery capacity of the Xiaomi Mi 10 is slightly larger than that of its opponent – it is 4780 mAh, but the difference is insignificant. If you do not use the smartphone in 90 Hertz mode, then the battery will last for the whole day without any problems. And of course, the Mi 10, like the company’s flagship, charges fast and supports wireless charging.

I have collected the most common reviews of the owners and now I will tell you what they like and what people are unhappy with in these smartphones. Let’s start with the negatives.
