At the same time, the Galaxy S20 Ultra weighs more than its rival – it is 222 grams. The fingerprint scanner is also located below the screen. The screen itself, unlike the rival, is covered with a protective glass Gorilla Glass 6, and the front camera is located in a small hole in the center of the upper part of the display. The volume and power keys are on the right side. The microphone and a slot for two Nano SIM cards and a memory card are located at the upper end. Another microphone, speaker and USB-C connector version 3.2 are located below. It is also worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra received protection from dust and water in accordance with IP68. This means that the smartphone can survive under water at a shallow depth of up to 30 minutes.

The back sides of smartphones are completely different from each other. The Xiaomi Mi 10 has a rear camera block in the upper left corner, which protrudes slightly above the body. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra’s screen is better in all respects than its rival. The screen size is 6.9 inches. There is the dynamic AMOLED matrix with more accurate color reproduction, the aspect ratio is 20 to 9, the resolution is 1440 by 3200 pixels, and the screen’s refresh rate is 120 Hertz. Like the opponent, the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s screen has wide viewing angles, good color reproduction and high brightness, so it displays everything clearly even in sunny weather.

Software

The Xiaomi Mi 10 has a proprietary MIUI 11 shell based on the Android 10 operating system. MIUI 11 is distinguished from the previous version of the shell by its design with smoother animation, increased icon size and font smoothness. The Xiaomi Mi 10 got a dark theme that is integrated into some applications. As for the sounds, now MIUI 11 allows you not only set downloaded tunes to calls and an alarm clock, but also the sound of rain or birds singing. At the same time, a dynamic alarm clock will produce different sounds depending on the day of the week and time of day. Also, it is worth noting the presence of such utilities in MIUI 11 as Supports Mi Share for wireless transfer of files and applications, as well as Mi Doc Viewer. It supports a large number of text formats and allows you to view and edit files. Another useful utility in MIUI 11 is the “Game Acceleration” feature, which allows you to customize the smartphone during games.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra runs on the meringue of the Android 10 operating system with a proprietary shell – One UI 2.0. Compared with the previous version of One UI, this shell has received minor changes. The fonts have become better, icons have changed a bit, problems with signatures in Russian have disappeared, the notification bar and settings menu have slightly changed. The “Night mode” with artificial intelligence which is available in the smartphone makes the pictures clear and saturated, as if you were shooting in bright daylight. Thanks to the 3D scanner, objects in the frame can be measured and animated. In terms of quality and shooting capabilities, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra outperforms its rival. As for shooting video, it, like the Xiaomi Mi 10, it can be conducted in 8K resolution. When shooting with lower resolution, the stabilization feature is turned on. There is a time-lapse function thank to the presence of the advanced low-light shooting technology. This will allow you to shoot a video with a long exposure effect, leaving picturesque streaks of light in the frame. In addition, there is a Live Focus function for blurring the background, HDR10 + technology is supported, and there is a slow motion mode. Also, the smartphone has a photo and video editor that allows you to edit pictures and videos, apply filters and much more. As for the front camera of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, it is 40 megapixels. It allows you to take bright and detailed selfies even in low light.

Performance

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is equipped with an 8-core Snapdragon processor 865 and an Adreno 650 video accelerator. The smartphone plays the most demanding games without delay. Thanks to the new cooling system it does not overheat, even after a long game process. The Xiaomi Mi 10 is available for purchase in versions of 8 and 12 GB of RAM 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. A slot for a memory card is not provided in the smartphone.

The global version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and the US version have a different set of processor and video accelerator. The global version received an 8-core Exynos 990 processor made according to the 7-nanometer process technology and the Mali-G77 MP11 video accelerator. For the United States, the smartphone is equipped with a 7-nanometer 8-core Snapdragon 865 processor and an Adreno 650 video accelerator. In both cases, the smartphone’s performance is very high, so the most demanding games and applications work without delay. The RAM of the Galaxy S20 Ultra is 12 GB.
