Comparing to smartphones with a drop-shaped neckline or bangs, this kind of cutout looks rather unusual, but you quickly get used to it. The fact that the Galaxy S10 Lite doesn’t have a 3.5 millimiter jack for headphones and water protection is rather sad. As for the remaining elements on the case, their location is as follows: the power and volume buttons are located on the right side. On the left side there is a slot designed for 2 SIM cards in Nano format, or for 1 SIM card and memory card. There is a microphone on top of the smartphone. Below there is another microphone, speaker and USB-C connector.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is inferior to its opponent in size and weight. Its length is 149.9 millimeters, its width is 70.4, and its thickness is 7.8 millimeters. At the same time, the weight of the smartphone is only 157 grams. Thanks to its compact size, the Galaxy S10 is comfortable to use with one hand. The smartphone’s screen is large, with rounded edges and covered with Gorilla Glass 6. Like its opponent, the screen has a fingerprint scanner and a hole for the front camera. The only exception is that the hole is not located in the center of the upper part of the display. It is in the right corner. At the top there is a microphone and a combined slot for two Nano-format SIM cards and a memory card. Buttons are on both sides. On the left there is the volume control key and assistant call, and on the right there is the power button. Below there is a microphone, speaker, USB-C and 3.5 millimeter jacks for headphones. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is protected against dust and moisture in accordance with the IP68 standard, which allows it to survive in the water for some time.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has a plastic back with imitation under glass. It has a large rectangular block with cameras, a flash and an inscription informing that the smartphone has optical stabilization. There is a black, blue and mother-of-pearl version of the Galaxy S10 Lite on sale.

Unlike its rival, the back side of the Samsung Galaxy S10 is made of glass. In the upper part of the back side there is a horizontal module with cameras and a flash, which protrudes quite a bit above the surface. Therefore, the smartphone is stable and does not sway on any surfaces. As for the colors, there a large number of options available for the Galaxy S10. But unlike its rival, it uses the Dynamic AMOLED matrix with a resolution of 1440 by 3040 pixels. Therefore, the pixel density on the screen of the Galaxy S10 is noticeably higher. The display is not inferior in its capabilities to that used in the Lite version. There is the Always on Display function, support for HDR10 + and many useful settings that allow you to adjust the screen for yourself.


The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite was released with the new Android 10 operating system right away and with the updated proprietary shell One UI 2.0. Comparing to its predecessor, this shell received minor cosmetic changes. The fonts have become better, icons have changed a bit, problems with signatures in Russian have disappeared, the notification bar and settings menu have slightly changed. There was a dark menu mode and the ability to add icons of your choice to the lock screen. In addition, the Galaxy S10 Lite has a personal assistant Bixby, which, for example, can translate text from photos and much more. In addition, while recording video on the Galaxy S10 Lite, you can use the zoom microphone function and the Live Focus mode to focus on a specific subject in the frame. And after the video is recorded, you can use the built-in video editor with many functions. The front camera of the smartphone is 32 megapixels. It also has a “Live Focus” mode, which allows you to blur the background both during and after the shooting.

The main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S10 received a main sensor of 12 megapixels, but it is not inferior to the opponent’s camera in the quality of shooting. The pictures are excellent, with high detail both day and night. There is optical stabilization and autofocus. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S10 has an ultra-wide-angle lens with 16 megapixels. It also has a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, which is responsible for video stabilization and provides high-quality 2x optical zoom. There is a “Live Focus” mode, which allows you to blur focus, as well as Pro mode for manually adjusting the settings. Video recording can be carried out in 4K resolution with a frequency of 60 frames per second. When shooting movies in Full HD, super stabilization mode is available. The front camera of the Galaxy S10 has 10 megapixels with autofocus and adjustable depth of field. Unlike the Galaxy S10 Lite selfie camera, it can record video in 4K resolution.


The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite runs on a powerful 8-core Snapdragon 855 processor and Adreno 640 graphics accelerator. According to AnTuTu Benchmark, the smartphone is gaining 390 thousand points. As for RAM, there are 2 versions of the smartphone available – 6 and 8 GB. The Galaxy S10 Lite has 128 GB of built-in memory, but you can install a memory card with a maximum capacity of 1 TB if you wish.

For Europe and a number of other countries, the Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with an 8-core Exynos 9820 processor. The version of the smartphone for the USA and China is equipped with another processor – Snapdragon 855. As for the video accelerators, there is also a difference – Mali G76 for Europe and Adreno 640 for China and the USA. In the Antutu performance test, the Samsung Galaxy S10 turned out to be faster than its opponent and scored a result of 408 thousand points. The smartphone has 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 512 GB of internal memory. You can increase the amount of internal memory using a microSD card.


As for the communication capabilities of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S10 supports the new standard Wi-Fi “ix.” While the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite supports only the ACC standard. Both smartphones have fifth-generation Bluetooth, as well as an NFC module for making payments.
