Appearance

The Samsung Galaxy A31 and the Samsung Galaxy A51 are almost identical in design. They have approximately the same size and arrangement of elements on the body. But there are small differences that allow us to distinguish them from each other.

The Galaxy A31 is quite large and heavy. Some users might find it uncomfortable using it with one hand. It has a large screen with narrow frames and a fingerprint scanner built into it. The front camera of the smartphone is placed in a miniature teardrop-shaped cutout on the display. As for the location of buttons and other elements, there are the power and volume buttons on the right side of the smartphone. There is a slot designed for the simultaneous use of two Nano-format SIM cards and a memory card on the left. At the bottom of the Galaxy A31 there is a speaker, microphone, headphone input, and a USB Type-C connector.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is only slightly different from its rival in size. But the weight is noticeably less – it is 172 grams comparing to 185 grams of the Galaxy A31.  There is another difference in the appearance. The front camera of the Galaxy A51 is placed directly on the screen. The location of the connectors, buttons and other elements are totally the same. There is an on-screen fingerprint scanner. There is a triple slot designed for 2 Nano-format SIM cards and a memory card on the left side of the smartphone. There is a volume key and a power button on the right side. And the microphone, speaker, headphone input 3.5 millimeter and a USB-C connector are places below.

The differences are also little on the back side of smartphones. The Galaxy A31 and the Galaxy A51 have a plastic back cover with a prismatic pattern. Both smartphones received a rectangular camera block located in the upper left corner. But the Galaxy A31 flash in the camera unit is located higher than that one of the opponent. The Galaxy A31 can be purchased in white, black, red or blue colors.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A51, if you take a closer look at it, you will notice that the prismatic pattern on the back is made a little differently. The flash in the camera unit is located slightly lower. The Galaxy A51 is available in black, white, blue or pink.
