Iphone 11 vs Samsung Galaxy S10e. Comparison!

Hello, everyone! It’s Techno Dog. As usual, I will start the comparison of iPhone 11 and Samsung Galaxy S10e with their designs. 


In regard to appearance, the iPhone 11 and Samsung Galaxy S10e have little in common. 

The iPhone 11 case consists of glass panels and an aluminum frame. The smartphone weighs 194 grams. The iPhone 11 is dust and moisture resistant to IP68. The smartphone can withstand immersion in water at a depth of two meters. The smartphone’s screen occupies 79% of the front side. In the upper part there is a notch, where the front camera, sensors and speaker are placed. On the left side of the case are buttons for adjusting the volume and switching the sound mode. On the right is the power button and slot for one nano-SIM card. The Chinese market version of the iPhone 11 has a tray designed for two nano-SIM cards. There are speakers, a microphone, and a Lightning connector at the bottom of the phone. 

The Samsung Galaxy S10e also has a glass case with an aluminum frame. In size, it is slightly smaller than the iPhone 11 and weighs only 150 grams. Like its opponent, the Samsung Galaxy S10e has protection against moisture and dust in accordance with the IP68 standard. The screen of the Galaxy S10e is large. It occupies 83.3% of the front surface of the smartphone. This was made possible due to the fact that the front camera has been moved to the right, whereas it used to be placed in the center on previous Samsung smartphones. As for the location of the controls, on the left side are the volume buttons and the Bixby key, to which you can assign any function. On the right side is a fingerprint scanner, which also functions as a power button. At the top is a speaker, microphone and a combined slot for two nano-SIM cards and a MicroSD memory card. On the bottom, the developers placed a speaker, microphone, 3.5 mm headphone jack, as well as USB Type-C. 

On the back of the iPhone 11 is a square platform on which there are two cameras, a flash, and a microphone. In the center is the Apple logo. The phone comes in six colors: black, green, purple, yellow, white, and a red version is also available. 

The back side of the Samsung Galaxy S10e uses Gorilla Glass 5. The camera module with flash has a horizontal position. The smartphone is available in green, pink, yellow, black, white, and blue. 


The screen size of the iPhone 11 is 6.1 inches. An IPS matrix is used with a resolution of 828 by 1792 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5 to 9. The maximum screen brightness is 625 nits. Screen protection is provided by scratch-resistant glass with an oleophobic coating. There are various functions for adjusting the color in the settings of the smartphone, as well as an automatic brightness mode. 

Samsung Galaxy S10e has a screen with a diagonal of 5.8 inches. However, the aspect ratio is 19 to 9, and the resolution is 1080 by 2280 pixels, which is more than the iPhone 11. Unlocking the smartphone using Face ID has become 30% faster and the speed of opening some applications has almost doubled. 

The Samsung Galaxy S10e was released on Android 9.0 Pie with a OneUI proprietary shell. The shell adheres to its own style, which is based on rounded blocks and icons, concentrated mainly in the lower half of the display. White and gray colors are very prevalent. Visually, this is the best software Samsung has ever made. There is a night mode, split screen, gesture control, multitasking menu, and many other interesting functions. Minor changes were made to the camera app. The interface was slightly modified, but overall became more convenient to use. 


The iPhone 11 has a dual camera, which consists of ultra-wide and wide-angle modules, each of which is 12 megapixels. There is a night shooting mode, auto-correction, Smart HDR mode, and many effects for shooting in different conditions. Video recording can be shot in 4K resolution with a frequency of 24, 30, or 60 frames per second. As for the front camera, it is 12 megapixels and can shoot 4K video at a frequency of 24, 30, or 60 frames per second. 

The Samsung Galaxy S10e received two main camera modules – the main one with 12 megapixels and an ultra wide-angle one with 16 megapixels. The quality of the pictures is at a high level, including in low light. There is a Live Focus mode, panoramic shooting, and HDR capability. Video is recorded in 4K resolution with a frequency of 60 frames per second, and there is also a slow motion function. The smartphone’s front camera is 10 megapixels with the ability to shoot video in 4K resolution.

The iPhone 11 uses the 6-core Apple A13 Bionic processor with a clock frequency of 2.65 gigahertz. The phone uses 4GB of RAM. As for the internal memory, the iPhone 11 can be purchased in versions of 64, 128, or 256 gigabytes. The ability to install a memory card is not provided. 

The Chinese and American versions of the Samsung Galaxy S10e have a Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor with a clock speed of 2.84 gigahertz. For other countries, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-core Exynos 9820 processor, whose clock frequency is 2.73 gigahertz. There are also differences in the video accelerator used. The Chinese and the Americans will receive a smartphone with an Adreno 640 video accelerator. In other countries, the phone will have Mali-G76 installed. Depending on the version, the Samsung Galaxy S10e has 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory, or 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory. It is also possible to install a microSD card. 

In the AnTuTu Benchmark Performance Test, the Samsung Galaxy S10e is 130 thousand points behind the iPhone 11. But in general, both devices show a very high result.

In terms of communication capabilities, the iPhone 11 and Samsung Galaxy S10e have much in common. Both smartphones support the new Wi-Fi A-X standard, there is an NFC module, and Bluetooth version 5 is used with regard to data transfer speed.

The battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S10e is 3100 mAh. The smartphone supports USB Power Delivery 2.0 fast charging, as well as wireless charging using Qi or PMA technology. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S10e can be used as a power bank for reverse charging other smartphones and gadgets.

In conclusion, both smartphones have protection against water and dust according to the IP68 standard. They have approximately the same battery capacity, have an NFC module, are high speed, and image quality is at about the same level. However, there are a number of differences. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has a headphone jack, a slot for a memory card, and a bright Dynamic AMOLED screen. At the same time, the iPhone 11 is larger, and, naturally, the screen is larger. Also worth noting is the iOS operating system, which is more optimized than the One UI.
